Unfortunately, there's still a bit of a problem under ASP.NET 2.0. I took the VB.NET example code that on the web site where you also download the control. I placed the code under a directory called "test" under my web site. When viewing the page "HierarGridDemo.aspx" (http://localhost/test/HierarGridDemoVB/HierarGridDemo.aspx) everything works until you do a postback. On a postback you get the error "UserControl could not be loaded: test_authors.ascx ". It looks like ASP.NET 2.0 is still pre-pending the first directory off the server root to the control name. What is the purpose in doing that?

First of all, LOVE THE CONTROL!!! I've been a big fan of it and am happy to hear that you have posted a version (2) for ASP 2.0. So, here's my rant...

I copied the DLL over, tested my code, and now, on the first item in my hiergrid, if I click the plus sign, it gives a javascript error. Also, if there is just one item in the grid it gives the same error. But, other items in the list work fine. Any suggestions?

I've noticed that DynamicControlsPlaceholder doesn't work, if the path of user control has '.', e.g. DesktopModules\FSVK.SearchResults.
I fixed it by adding the following line in RestoreChildStructure method after typeNameGarbage assignment:

typeNameGarbage = typeNameGarbage.Replace('.', '_');//if subdir has '.' in the name, it also should be replaced with '_'

But it's likely that other special characters should be replaced with '_' as well.

I've noticed, that your blog shows e-mail addresses in clear text. It's not good for spam prevention.

Is there a way to solve the following scenario with your control:

I dynamically create a table which contains text and radioboxes in the table cells. There is an autopostback at the radioboxes.
After the table is generated I add it to a placeholder.

Anyway, I would like to use your dynamic placeholder.
Just replacing the regular placeholder with DCP, causes the DCP_ControlRestored to trigger on only the table (not the radioboxes that I would like).

I understand that I need to add each of the radioboxes to the DCP, but how can I do that when I also need to add and place the radioboxes to tablecells?
